This software utility lets you find and download subtitle tracks for your movies.

Subtitles is a app that will find subtitles for your movies. The functions are integrated into the right click menu. Thus when you right click on the movie name you will get a list of languages. You need to select a language in which you want the subtitles. Web browser opens to show you a set of subtitles for the movie selected. You can download the subtitle files easily. The current version will let you customize the look of the context menu of the Subtitles program. It is possible that the program may not be able to find the right movie on the very first attempt. Searching by the movie title could be error prone as text based searches does often.

The utility creates a checksum instead and looks up details from its database. It is possible, it will find the details in the database. If not, it will go out and search the Internet. If that too fails, you may need to search for it manually. If found, the checksum is stored and the database is updated. That ensures it is positively found when it is searched next time. However when the updates happen from more than a million downloaded movies, the probability is very low that you will not find the subtitle file you want. Operation is easy, as already indicated, it is integrated with the context sensitive menu. This is a good product, has useful features and could be handy in you search of subtitles for movies in your collection.

If Subtitles doesn't find your movie straight away, don't worry. Subtitles doesn't search for the movie name (too much scope for error) but instead calculates the checksum. If it doesn't already have that particular checksum stored in its database, it automatically looks for it elsewhere on the internet. If it still can't find it, you search manually and the checksum is saved for future use. With more than 1 million subtitles being downloaded every day, however, the chances that your movie will be correctly identified is getting better by the minute!
